Applicants to a graduate program in the School of Nursing and Health Studies with international academic credentials must do the following.
Submit the following educational documents to an approved international credentialing evaluation service for evaluation:
a) Official original diplomas and certificates in the original language, and
b) Official original transcripts in the original language (names of courses, grades, and hours of instruction) for every year of study.
Documents in a language other than English must be accompanied by professional, certified English translations. Translations supplement, but do not replace the official documents.
The School of Nursing and Health Studies is requiring international applicants to their programs to complete a course-by-course evaluation with GPA.
Applicants may use the international credentialing services of any of the following three companies:
1) Josef Silny & Associates (JS&A), Inc. International Education Consultants, is the preferred evaluation vendor for international applicants to the University of Miami due to their competitive prices and high-quality service. 2) World Education Sercies (WES); or
3) Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE)
Applicants who use JS&A or WES can request their completed evaluations be sent electronically to NursingCAS to post to their application. Students who choose to send their complete evaluation to NursingCAS by mail must request it be sent directly by the evaluation company to NursingCAS, P.O. Box 9201, Watertown, MA 02471.
Applicants are responsible for the evaluation fee.
