The Graduate School facilitates the application process and serves as a liaison between you and the program you're applying for. The Graduate School is not involved in admissions decisions.

After you submit your application, you will be directed to your Status Portal. In the Status Portal you can monitor the status of your application and view any outstanding requirements. When your admission decision is released, your decision letter will be posted in your Status Portal.
In 48-72 hours after application submission, you will receive an email with your CaneID and instructions on how to create a password. Use your CaneID to log in to University systems such as your Status Portal and Financial Aid Portal. Returning users who have already been issued a CaneID should use their existing credentials.
Transcripts must be submitted directly to the University of Miami or program you have applied to. If sending transcripts via Parchment, select "University of Miami - Graduate School." Please reach out to the admissions representative for your selected program for additional details.
If your program of interest has an entrance exam requirement, please submit official exam score reports (GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo English Test, etc.) to the University of Miami. Please reach out to the admissions representative for your selected program for additional details.
For GRE and TOEFL, the University of Miami's institution code is 5815.
For IELTS, submit scores to "University of Miami - Graduate School."
For Duolingo English Test, submit scores to "University of Miami - Graduate School."

Credit Card Information
The Graduate School does not have, under any circumstances, access to your credit card information. Your credit card information is used to process your application fee payment and will not be used for any other purposes. Credit card information is transmitted through, but is not stored, on a web-enabled server.
