The Graduate School may assist with emergency advances, limited to $500. The student must have a demonstrated need (e.g., books, rent, meals). The student may only request one emergency advance per semester. The cash advance and the repayment must be made in the same semester.

Eligibility
The following are the eligilbity criteria for the Graduate School's cash advance for any given semester:

  1. The student must be an active gradaute student in a degree seeking program for the semester in which the advance is being requested.
  2. The student must have no financial or enrollment hold.
  3. The student must have anticipated financial aid that is paid through CaneLink. Note: If the only anticipated financial aid is a result of an active TA/RA/GA assignment paid through Workday, the student is not eligible.
  4. The anticipated financial aid disbursement must fall within the same semester as the requested cash advance.
  5. The student must be enrolled in direct depoist.

Repayment
The cash advance will be repaid automatically once your expected funding posts to your university account.
