Research Intersections is a cross-campus, cross-school, and cross-department networking initiative designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers across UM, jointly run by the Graduate School and the Graduate Student Association.

Spring Graduate Student Symposium

Graduate students, faculty, and postdocs: Please join us for Research Intersection’s Spring Graduate Student Symposium on April 4, at 5:30 pm at the Field House (Coral Gables campus).

Come meet other researchers, socialize, and learn about each other’s work. The keynote speakers this year will be Dr. Sharon Smith, Professor Emeritus of Marine Biology and Ecology at the Rosenstiel School, and Dr. Alberto Caban-Martinez, a board certified physician, epidemiologist, and Assistant Professor of Public Health Sciences at the Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Smith and Dr. Caban-Martinez will be discussing their experiences with interdisciplinary research in oceans and human health.  Please encourage your graduate students to submit a poster as well!
